Organizational Diagnosis, Inter-Org Collaboration for UHC

WHO-DOH

COMPLETE PROJECT NAME: Organization Diagnosis toward Building a Results-based Inter-Organizational Collaboration for Universal Health Care (UHC) Implementation for the World Health Organization (WHO)

PROJECT PERIOD: Jun – Aug 2019

DESCRIPTION: Meraki was commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO) to conduct a comprehensive organizational analysis and process mapping of selected bureaus and offices of the DOH in preparation for the implementation of the UHC. The technical assistance also included  stakeholder analysis to determine the level of coordination between and among the five offices and between their respective partners within and outside DOH. The assessment focused on the capacity of the selected offices to undertake effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E), knowledge management (KM) and inter-agency coordination and collaboration in light of their functional mandate to support the implementation of the UHC. An important component of the project was the development of a framework for a National Health Information System (NHIS), which is co-led by both PHIC and DOH, and critical support for the Universal Health Care rollout nationwide. The results of the project were used by DOH as a basis for further policy development, structure, and process strengthening and competency development in preparation for the UHC.
